These courses are open to all. One of these courses may be completed by students enrolled in EHEA bachelor's degrees. Students still working towards a degree under the old national regulatory framework can earn ECTS credits. Courses offered by Els Juliols are held over three weeks in July. They are mostly delivered in Placa de la Universitat's Historic Building, but some students also take classes on other campuses or in other parts of the city. Els Juliols also offers specific programs.
These courses can be taken at any level, from beginner to advanced. Students can also take specific courses to improve their Catalan language skills and knowledge. Students from other Catalonia can take intensive courses in the first two weeks September for those who want to study temporarily at the UB or start a degree program. The University of Barcelona issues Catalan language certificates that are equivalent to the Generalitat's official language qualifications.
UB Sports offers a total 25 facilities for leisure, sports, and health activities during the summer months. There are over 20 activities that can be supervised in June and July. Staff members specialize in water sports, martial art, physical conditioning, and sports. These activities could be eligible to receive ECTS recognition and free-elective credits from UB students.
