Hong Kong Green Finance Association, founded in September 2018, is a platform which offers channels and opportunities for the development of sustainable investments and green finance in Hong Kong. Its goal is to mobilize resources and talent from both the public and private sector to develop green finance policies and to promote green financing business and product innovations within financial institutions. HKGFA's primary goal is to position Hong Kong a leading international hub for green finance by providing greater opportunities and access to Hong Kong's Financial Institutions to participate in green funding transactions locally, on Mainland China's markets and along the Belt & Road. This is in line the global trend to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement.
Five working groups organize HKGFA’s main activities: Banking - Financing the Transition Product Innovation and Solutions, Sustainability-related Disclosures, Policy and Standards Greater Bay Area Green Finance Alliance and Real Estate. For more information, please see the Working Groups session.
